

Thomas John Pitts, 78, was born September 11, 1947, in New Britain, Connecticut, to John and Doris (Pavano) Pitts. A compassionate, beloved, kind-hearted man, Thomas passed peacefully in his sleep on March 21, 2026, at Parkside Tamarac. Thomas was a resident of Parkland, Florida and formerly of Plainville, Connecticut. After this introduction, he will be lovingly remembered as Tom.
Tom dedicated his professional life as the Senior Vice President of Human Resource. His steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to work alongside him and know him well.
Tom shared 56 years of marriage with his wife, Lilia Maicas Pitts. He is also survived by his children, Jennifer Frisk (David) of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Dr. Tom Pitts (Natasa) of New York, New York; and by his two grandsons whom he adored, Brayden Frisk and Preston Frisk. He is survived by his sister, Nancy DiCaprio of Lake Worth, Florida; his brother, John Pitts (Cheryl) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister-in-law, Tilda Jarocki; brother-in-law, Steve Jarocki; brother-in-law, Emilio Maicas; sister-in-law, Anne Maicas; sister-in-law, Jeannette Pitts; brother-in-law, Raffaele Gironda; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Vincent Pitts; and his sister, Lucy Gironda.
Tom found deep joy in time with his grandsons, and he cherished the simple pleasures of boating and fishing. He also gave generously of himself by serving as a youth soccer and youth baseball coach, offering encouragement, patience, and steady leadership to the young people he coached. He was on the board for Center for Group Counseling and a Guardian ad Litem.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 330716026, on April 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
