

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Arnold on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband to Dora Grady (nee Boileau). Loving father of Brian (Kim) of Kingston, Cindy (Pat Harrington) of Kingston and Kevin (Shari) of Long Sault. Predeceased by infant daughter Nancy. Sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren, Christopher (Shoko), Benjamin, Jordan, Scott (Maddie), Holly (Cully), Catherine (Scott), Joseph (Leah) and Elizabeth. Cherished Great Grandpa to Charlotte, Tommy, Charlotte, Miles and Henry.
Predeceased by parents Mary (Beehler) and Charles Grady, brothers Allan, Tommy, Donald, brothers-in-law Doug Graham, Joe Walsh and sister-in-law Joanne Grady. Survived by siblings Elaine Walsh, Leonard, Claire (John Sosnowski), Janet Graham and sister-in-law Mary Grady.
Arnold was born and raised by a loving family on a dairy farm near Crysler, a place he proudly called home. He met the love of his life Dora at a St. Patrick’s Day dance and they became devoted companions for 67 years. With their unwavering values, spiritual strength and good work ethics, they created a family home filled with love, kindness, and enduring memories.
Arnold was a true gentleman and loved to socialize. He cherished every conversation he had, always hoping to learn something new. Arnold was also generous of nature, never hesitating to lend a hand to a friend or neighbour.
In retirement, Arnold became passionate about curling and golfing, which he enjoyed with his companions well into his late ‘80’s.
Throughout his life, Arnold was an example to everyone around him that life is about living to the fullest and giving generously of oneself.
Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First St. East (613-933-2841) on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. A spring interment will take place a Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
