

Originally from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. He was a most loving and caring husband to his wife Carole Quenneville-Benoit, a devoted and proud father and stepfather to Eric, Benoit, Nancy Hurtsfield-Meyer (Richard), Michael Benoit (Carine), Michel Quenneville and Stéphane Quenneville (Anne). He is now resting alongside his beloved son Steve Benoit who passed away at the age of 7. Special Grandpa to Chance (Bidou), Jack, Abigail, Elsie, Mackenzie, Amelia, Taylor, Mylie, and Julia. Dear brother to Suzanne Lizowski (David), Réal Benoit (Gaëtane). Pre-deceased by his parents Roger Benoit and Jeannette Allard, his brother Guy, and sisters Nicole and Lise. Mike also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
He was a man who touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. Mike spent most of his life in the automotive industry, working in sales, management, and as a dealer. He had an exceptional gift for connecting with people and making them laugh. Mike was an attentive listener who made everyone feel heard and valued. Above all, what truly mattered to him was the love of his family and friends.
Mike’s family warmly invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home – East Branch (614 First Street East, Cornwall, ON) on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at St-Félix-de-Valois Church (620 Glengarry Boulevard, Cornwall, ON) at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held following the service at the Cornwall Curling Club reception hall (220 Water St E, Cornwall, ON).
