Joseph was born on April 29, 1928 in New York City, NY to John and Amelia (Bing) McGuire. He was a proud Korean War Veteran who served from 1951-1953. He worked and retired from the NYRA as a Gaming Inspector for the New York State Horse Racing Tracks.
He is survived by his loving children Carol Radlauer and her husband Raymond, Douglas McGuire and Robert McGuire, beloved Grandson Joseph Proscia and his 2 adoring great granddaughters Emily and Danielle Proscia. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Yolanda McGuire.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 4pm to 7pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 am. Burial will take place following at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
