

He was born on February 28, 1945, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, and throughout his life, remained a man deeply rooted in family, tradition, and joy.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Faustina Azpeitia; his beloved son, Mark Azpeitia; and eight of his siblings.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Lucy Azpeitia; his son, Eddy Azpeitia; and his daughter, Elaine Stevens, along with her husband Robert. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to many. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Soledad Ruiz and Martha Seay.
Anthony will be fondly remembered for his vibrant personality and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, traveling, visiting amusement parks, and taking trips to the casino. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time surrounded by his family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Anthony’s legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. Though his passing leaves a profound void, his memory lives on in the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished so deeply. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation to honor Anthony’s life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, 46307. A funeral service will take place the following morning, Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the burial at 11:00 a.m., at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
