Barbara L. Strom

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Carl H. Strom; her parents, Phillip and Irene Jensen; and brothers, Donald and Eugene Jensen.

Barbara is survived by her loving children; son, Nathan (Rebekah) Strom; and daughters, Lisa (Timothy) McKinney and Heidi (Jerry) Brewer. She was a cherished grandmother to Caleb, Gunnar, Karly, Hope, Jared, Andrew, Chase, Autumn, Hannah, and Zachary. She is also survived by her brother, Kenny Jensen, and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was devoted to her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member and active attendee of Family Christian Center in Munster. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and her favorite candy, Good & Plenty. Above all, she treasured her family and the time spent with them.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
