Bette Jane Berry

She is survived by her children, Keith 'Butch' Berry and Lee Ann (Jesse) Trueblood; grandchildren, Tre (Taylor) Popa, Bradley (Ashley) Popa, Danielle Berry and Jessi Trueblood; great grandchildren, Trevor Popa, Savannah Swartz, Peyton Popa, Reagan Popa and Cole Mason Popa; brother, William 'Bill' (Carol) Funk and her partner of 14 years, Jim Markve.

Preceded in death by her husband, Keith Berry in 1999.

Bette was born February 5, 1944 in Hammond, IN to the late Chesney and Viola Funk and was a graduate of Hammond High School and went on to Indiana University to earn her Associates Degree in Business Management.

Bette enjoyed golfing, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, traveling, antiquing and caring for her fur babies.

Bette was a loving daughter, sister, friend, mother and 'GrandBerry' and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in her memory through www.alivingtribute.org so that her spirit may live on.
