She joins in Heaven her first husband of nearly 33 years, William T. McCormick, Jr.; second husband of 17 years, Norman Mihaljevich; daughter, Lisa Anna McCormick; son, Christopher Michael McCormick; father, Charles F. Bouny; mother, Catherine B. Bouny (née Arendt); and several more beloved family members and friends.
Charlene is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Debbie (Steve) Tennant, and Amy (Scott) Hicks; grandchildren, Sean, Peter, Juliana, Emmett and Ivy; sister-in-law, Susan McCormick; and many more family members and friends.
Charlene was a devoted housewife for several years before beginning her journey to achieve incredible success as a real estate agent for Century 21. She cared for our beloved sister, Lisa, while ensuring that Debbie and Amy made it to countless gymnastics events, diving meets, theater rehearsals and performances, basketball games, and birthday parties without fail. She taught us about hard work without complaint or hesitation. She taught us that being a mother meant showing us immeasurable love and doing whatever it takes to be there for us. Always. Our memories of her presence on earth will forever resonate with the joy she brought to the lives of everyone who knew her, and she will always be with us.
A memorial service for Charlene will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a prayer service at 12:00 pm, and graveside service at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapelLawnFunerals.com for the McCormick family.
