Curtis W Bailey

CURTIS W. BAILEY DYER, IN Curtis W. Bailey, age 65, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Pauline A. Bailey; beloved children: Robert W. (Dawn) Bailey, Bonnie (Dan) Bailey-Saenz and Michael D. (Cassi) Bailey; dear grandchildren: Austin and Aaron Saenz; aunt, Betty Larson and cousins: Johanna Crawford, Christine Reynolds and Nona Firch. Preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Margot Bailey and sister, Penelope Silkett. Curtis was an auto mechanic for 40 + years. His first job was with Nichols Engineering. Before starting to work at home, he worked for the Dyno Shop in Hammond, IN. Curtis loved building and flying line-control model airplanes and working on hot rods and motorcycles. He was a lifetime member of the National Street Machine Club. He also enjoyed riding horses. Curtis will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, March 8, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN) Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
