Delmar J. Nowicki, age 89, passed away on March 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie Nowicki; children: Stanley (Debbie) Olson, Catherine L. (Aagge) Christensen, and Linda S. (John) Ward; grandchildren: Steven Olson, Daniel Olson, Michael Nosbaum, Jason Nosbaum, 1st LT Aaron Ward (Air Force), Matt Olson, Debborah Anne Irvin, and Ashley Ward; great grandchildren: Finn and Lilly Nosebaum, and Michelle and Izzy Olson. Preceded in death by his siblings: Edith Stump, Floyd Nowicki, and Rosemary Ragnauw. Delmar graduated from Boswell High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from LTV after 20 years of employment. Delmar enjoyed working at his booth at John's Flea market. He loved being around people and making them laugh. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN). Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
