Dennis Dean

Dennis Dean age 70, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Virginia 'Katie' Dean; son, Patrick (Sarah) Dean; step daughter, Aimee (Shane) Frederickson; grandchildren, Kathryn, Madison, Eden, Erin, Dylan, Chloe, Zachary and Lauren; sisters, Barbara Sparks and Katherine Giffin both of Royal Oak, MI; brother, Michael (Vickie) Dean of North Canton, OH; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents; step son, Stephen Douglas Andrews; former wife and friend, Rose Dean. Dennis was born November 2, 1947 in Warren, MI to John and Annie Dean. He proudly served our country in the US Army serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired from Modern Hard Chrome in East Chicago, IN with over 32 years of service. Dennis was an avid Nascar and Detroit Red Wings fan. He loved fishing, boating and spending time with his family. Dennis was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
