Doris was born August 26, 1928 in West Virginia to the late Elisha Wood and Tora Lucille Scott. Also preceding in death is her husband Freda John Dilbeck, her children Eddie Scott and Jesse Dilbeck and siblings, David Scott, Robert Scott, Helen Wells and Brenda Dennison and a grandchild.
Survivors include her children Diana Kay Walls, Marsha Malone, Deborah Shultz, Adrien Ruth Kyle, Evelyn Louise Dilbeck, Robin Annette Sloan, Fred John Dilbeck Jr., Cheryl Ann Franciski, and a stepson Dennis Dilbeck, 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and a brother Kenneth Scott. Also, many beloved extended family members.
Services will be at 12 noon on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, IN 46375). Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
