George A. Boersma

George A. Boersma, age 74, of Crown Point, IN, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026. Born on July 28, 1951, George lived a life rooted in faith, family, and a deep appreciation for God’s creation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Boersma; and his brother, Jim Boersma.

George leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory; his devoted wife, Barbara Boersma; his daughter, Amy (Matthew) Lenting; his son, Ryan (Sue) Boersma; his beloved grandchildren, Jake (Anna) Lenting, Anna (Luke) Haan, Nick, Noah, and Logan Boersma; and his precious great-granddaughter, Marloe Lenting. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Alva (John) DeVries; and sister-in- law, Judy Boersma; as well as many nieces and nephews.

George found great joy in the outdoors. He loved chasing waterfalls, fishing, and especially spending time at the lake surrounded by his family. Those moments together meant the world to him. His strong and abiding relationship with the Lord guided his life and was evident in the love and steady presence he shared with others.

George will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation to honor George will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
