George W. Corman Jr.,age 86, of Lowell, IN passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Joan Corman; son, George W. Corman III; loving father figure, to step children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; also surviving is his sister, Eileen (late James) Gilman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 S. Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of U.S. 30) Schererville, IN with Rev. Robert Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (time of service) at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Corman was a retired plumbing contractor in Whiting and East Chicago IN. He was a member of the Whiting Elks and was a graduate of Whiting High School. George was also an avid tennis player.
