
She was born May 19, 1937 in Golden Pond, Kentucky to the late Ollie and Retha (Oakley) Crute. She was also preceded in death by her son Christopher Taylor and her brother Henry Crute.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband, Joseph Mack, children, Mike (Donna) Taylor, Bruce (Janice) Taylor, Cyndie (Bob) Zappia, and Laura (Harry) Stone, a sister Sharon (Art) Woodward, grandchildren, Chuck (Melissa), Robert (Merideth), Joseph (Patti), Emily (Christian), Annie, and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are her step-children, Tom, Sue, Luanna, Dawn, Jim, and numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Gloria and her husband enjoyed their retirement and appreciated spending time with their family. She was a loving and caring caregiver to her husband, children and grandchildren. She emulated her love for them by cooking, and she was an avid recipe collector, and cooking shows fan. She also took pride in her garden.
A celebration of Gloria’s life will be Monday, November 17th at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (8178 S. Cline Ave; Scherervillle, IN 46375) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
