He was born in Omaha, NE on July 4, 1933 to Emil and Anna Hult. He and his wife, Shari, lived in Omaha until they retired to Bella Vista, AR in 1998. They resided there until 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Harriet Kusleika, Virginia Carpenter and Claudia Taylor; and by his brothers, Lloyd, Earl and Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Shari); and daughters, Coelette Gruber (Seth), Jennifer Kades (Joel) and Shay Morey (Joe). Per Charlie's request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
