Ivan "John" Crncic

Ivan "John" Crncic, age 62, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, November 12, 2010. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon; his children: Johnny (Kacey), Nicole and Michael; sisters: Nada (late John) Pavacic and Joann (Tom) Halterman; and brother, Nick (Terry) Crncic. John will also be fondly remembered by his in-laws: Julianne (Drew) Sweetman, Patsy Tonkovich, Mickie Tonkovich, David (Debi) Tonkovich and Kathy (Tom "Boomer") Balicki; his aunts, uncles and cousins in Europe; beloved nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; dear friends the Ludingtons; and many more friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ivan and Marija Crncic; in-laws: Fritz and Stella Tonkovich; and brother-in-law, John. John was born in Krk, Croatia and immigrated to the United States in 1967. He retired from Avery Dennison in Schererville after more than 30 years. He was a member of the CFU. Tata was a truly amazing person and all who loved and depended on him will miss him greatly. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Dettmer officiating. Burial will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (1/2 mile S of US 30), Schererville.
