I have very fond memories of Jimmy as a young boy playing with all his cousins, he was always happy and very respectful to me.  My heart goes out to Anna and the entire family.  May he rest in peace.  Aunt Santa Gavin

All of us here, at Coldwell Banker, where Jim worked for a time, are grieving for our friend, and saying prayers for his family. He was a wonderful, caring person, and a great father! He will be sorely missed.

Jim was a friend who I've missed these past years...great memories of coaching together in Munster; he was always both a competitor and a true gentleman with a sense of great humor! I will always remember our 8th grade AAU team travels with Jim, Jimmy and the rest of the boys.

I have so many great memories of Jim. We shared a youth together and then we shared our children together. We had such great times at sporting events! I know one thing, he loved the children more than anything on earth; this, I also know that they each felt. My brother, Bob, is also a very good friend of Jim's so we share that as well. My entire family thought so much of him as a husband, father, son, and such a great friend. We are both Italian and we shared that as well. I can still taste all the Italian Sausage he gave me that I told him it was ME who made it the BEST!! My husband also just loved Jim and sharing the kids' sports and school together. My daughter was working for Disney when the family all came down and as Jim said, she really showed us Disney in a way we never would have expected! My son just loved Mr. Nuzzo and appreciated all the support he gave to him. Patty, you are an angel--that's what Jim always said. Your daughter is a true light in his life and gave him so much happiness. We will see the family on Friday to express our feelings. Annie: you know what I thought of your boy. I will always remember him well.

In Memory of my Beloved Friend James:
It is with deepest regrets that my duties will not allow me to attend the services and funeral in Indiana. I, my wife Karen, and my brother Dave are extremely saddened to hear of James passing and promotion. Our sincere love and condolences to Patty, Anne, Benny, and all the Nuzzo family. James was my best friend. We weathered the 70s and shared the many challenges of young lads living the good life in The Region. My thoughts are flooded with great memories of our teen and young adult years. From our evening gatherings in the Nuzzo Grocery Store to the disco nights, pin ball dives and rock concerts in Chicago, James and I partnered the era's exploits and shared an incredible and cherished friendship.
In my 30+ years as Soldier, Army Officer, and Chaplain, I have never had a closer bond and loving brotherhood than with my "piasano" James. I have missed him through the years of his enduring medical battle, and I am both heartbroken and happy to know he has gone on to his reward. I am honored to have known him and to have shared a small portion of his journey.  Be assured of our love and prayers as our Heavenly Father and His Holy Angels comfort you in your loss. A loving embrace and Italian kiss from a distance. Heaven's best be yours, now and forever.
