James J. Zamko

James J "Jimmy" Zamko, age 64 of Highland, IN (formerly of East Chicago and Dyer, IN) passed away Monday, July 11, 2016. He was born January 31, 1952. Jimmy is survived by his family of Aileen (nee Meeks) Balazs, Ken Balazs and Derek Sickles, Kathy Balazs-Williams and Mike Williams, Hunter Balazs, and Greysen Williams; Aunt Josephine Cvitkovich and several other cousins. Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Anne (nee Cvitkovich) Zamko , Rich Balazs, Reece and Andersen Williams.

Jimmy was a graduate of Washington High School, East Chicago. He was retired from Inland Steel in East Chicago after many years of service and was an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and St James the Less Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday July 15, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave, Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday July 16, 2016 at St James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, IN
