Juanita Burke

Juanita Burke (nee: Brown), age 73 of Schererville, passed away peacefully at home with loving family by her side on Friday, April 16, 2010. Born December 3, 1936. Juanita was the daughter of Thomas and Catherine (nee: O’Neil). Her and her love Arthur Burke Sr., were wed May 21, 1955. Preceded in death by Art on March 15, 2010, Juanita is once again reunited with Art in heaven where they can together spend eternity in happiness and occasionally visit Heaven’s one arm bandit establishment. Surviving to mourn her passing are six loving children: daughter, Janice (Glenn) Karczewski and their children Todd and Karen. Cathy (Al) Metz of Mesa, AZ and their children: Natalie, Matthew and Rachel Metz; son, Artie (LuEllen) Burke, Jr. and his children: Sandi (Pete) Lewkowicz, Jennifer (Matt) Finn, Sarah Burke and Andrew Burke; son, Joseph Burke of Dyer, IN; daughter, Kristi (Joe) Irak of Crown Point and their children: Christopher and Nicholas; son, Jamie (Sherina) Burke of Oklahoma City, OK and their children: Dustin and Gabriel; six great grandchildren: Aiden, Charlee, Ryder, Coen, Wyatt and Micah; six sisters Eleanor (late Erv) Marek, Jeanette (late Ross) Heins, Marilyn (late Rol) Keilman, Kathy (late Peter) Pilackas, Jewel Brown, Susan (Robert) Necastro, 2 brothers: Thomas Brown and Jim (Donna) Brown.Waiting to greet her in Heaven are her parents and huband Arthur Burke Sr. The family invites relatives and friends to visit Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 S.
