June Lee Lewallen

June L. Lewallen (nee Tangerman), 81, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, surrounded by loving family. June was the most kind, loving, caring, and giving person you could ever have the privilege of knowing. Beloved mother of Jessica (Nick) Pavlakis, John (Ken Ferrari) Cinko, Joe (Beth Comstock) Cinko. Cherished Grammy of Alex (Lyndsey) Pavlakis, Samantha (Evan) Glass, Joey (Kristen Toth) Cinko, and Kayli (Steve Booth) Cinko. Dearest sister of Larry (late Ruth) Tangerman and sister-in-law of Jane (late Paul) Leckrone. Precious aunt and dear friend to many. Preceded in death by devoted husband of almost 49 years, Tom Lewallen; parents, Elsie and Richard Tangerman; in-laws, Margaret and Russell Lewallen; twin sister, Judy (late Bob) Trost; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Donna Lewallen; and precious and pampered pets, KC Lee, Peggy and others. June had the most amazing heart, which was reflected in everything she did and was evidenced by all of the lives she touched. She loved her family fiercely and was a true blessing to all who knew her. June made the best chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter balls, and she loved to cook for her family. She retired from Teibel's Family Restaurant after thirty years. In her retirement, June enjoyed spending summers at Jellystone and treasured the friendships she made there. Per June's wishes, there will be no visitation. Her life will be celebrated privately by family.
