Kenneth D. Gobin

Ken is the loving partner to Mike Dunn; beloved father to Sabrina (Steven), Arica (Randy), Daryl (Ashley), and Derek; adoring step-father to Kiki (Scott); proud grandfather to Brooke, Ryan, Randy, Ayden, Ariel, Oliver, Adisyn, David and Ella; cherished brother to Veronica (Ben), Marlene (Tommy), and Albert (Julie); step-brother to Chris (Dave) and Kathy (George); step-son to Bertha; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Carolyn; and brothers, David and Robert.

Ken was a manager of central supply at Brickyard Portage Nursing Home for over 15 years of faithful service. He was an avid, loyal Cubs fan. Ken was a talented musician, mastering the piano, organ, accordion and keyboard. He had a beautiful singing voice and loved entertaining while playing and singing for his family, friends and the residents at the nursing home. He was a jack of all trades, being able to build and fix almost anything. He especially enjoyed helping his family, friends and community by repairing and building anything asked of him. He would always be found in his backyard tending to his garden and floating in his pool.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of his funeral at 1:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. He will be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
