Lacie D. Ponds (Landrum), 56, Munster, IN, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family on Monday, March 6, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Lacie was born March 26, 1966, to Clinton and Beverly (Kreider) Landrum in Evanston, IL.
She spent most of her childhood in Pennsylvania before moving to Roselle, IL after both her parents passed away. Lacie graduated from Lake Park High School and attended Southern Illinois University. She was a model in her early 20’s eventually becoming a massage therapy instructor at the American College of Massage, Crown Point, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Beverly Landrum, brother, Clint and sister, Lisa.
She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Ponds; sisters, Jamie Levy and Leigh (Todd) Thornberry; brother in-law and sister-in-law: Bill and Deborah Barker; brother in-law and sister-in-law: Thomas and Teresa Ponds, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was an avid dog lover, most recently a loving mother to her golden retrievers, Louie and Hemingway. Lacie was always a ray of sunshine, funny, and her bubbly personality attracted many friends evident throughout her life. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
Lacie’s wishes were not to have a funeral service but to have friends and family celebrate her life in a memorial service 2-3 months after her passing.
