Lester G. Schmock

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lorrayne Schmock; and his parents, Lester H. Schmock and Julia Czimer.

Lester is survived by his youngest son, Larry (Dawn) Schmock; his only grandchild & love of his life, Chelsey Rayne; his oldest son, Lester L. Schmock; and his sister, Marlene Garritson.

He enjoyed dancing and was an active member of his community. He served as past Master and long-time Treasurer of Landmark/Triune Masonic Lodge 442 and was a member of the Orak Shrine. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from DePaul University and spent 30 years as a Field Auditor with the Indiana Department of Revenue.

Lester’s contributions to his family, his community, and his work will always be remembered. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13 at 12:00 pm, funeral service at 1:00 pm, followed by a luncheon in the Dining Room at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.

He will be laid to rest next to his cherished wife at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
