Lillian Marie Pallanti

Lillian Marie Pallanti formerly of Gary, Indiana and South Chicago Heights, Illinois, age 78, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais, Illinois with her loving family at her side.

Lillian was born February 21, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to the late Albert Dulla and Virginia (Herbert) Knoll. Also preceding her in death is her grandson, Salvatore Anzalone (Halama). Left to cherish her memory are her children Rochelle (Mark) Halama, Paulette (Don) Joiner, Marcelino Pallanti, and Anthony (Sheri) Pallanti; grandchildren, Renee (Matthew) Kunkel, Christina (Justin) Sturm, April (John) Wells, Joseph (Melissa) Halama, Matthew (Kesi) Helama, Angela (Ryan) Dzurny, Julia (Mike) Wineteer, Jay Halama, Anthony (Liz) Joiner, Zachary Joiner, Alllyson Pallanti, Marcelino Pallanti, Brittany Pallanti, and Alana Pallanti; great grandchildren, Hannah, Delaney, Noah, Ethan, Grace, Lucas, Jacob, Abby, Marleana, Joshuah, Charlotte, David, Courtney, and Moo; siblings Donald (Ann Marie) Dulla, Judy (Joseph) Lawrence, Ron (Mari) Griggs, and Les (Diane) Griggs. After graduating Tolleston High School in 1956, and raising her children, she retired from the Federal Signal, Village of South Chicago Heights Water Department, and CXS as a railroad driver. Lillian was a woman ahead of her time with her strength and independence. She enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed by those who loved and laughed with her. Visitation will be Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 12-4 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm with Rev.
