Mary Ruth Loudermilk

Mary was born September 27, 1944 in Washington, Indiana to the late Richard and Bessie (Collins) Higgins. Also preceding her in death is her loving husband of 45 years, Wilmer E. Loudermilk.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Delores (Kenneth) Unger and Richard Loudermilk; grandchildren, Louis Unger, Kenneth M. Unger, Richard Loudermilk Jr., and Abigail Loudermilk; great grandchildren, Adalyn Unger and Blake Unger; and a sister, Geri Webster.

Mary was heavily involved with her community. She served on Cedar Lake Town Council for years. She volunteered and gave much time and talent to the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. Mary recently received her 50 year Eastern Star pin. She was also in the Red Hat Society. Mary was a member of the "Keenagers" and "New Friends". Mary also enjoyed playing bingo at several locations and socializing with all her groups.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. To leave online www.chapellawnfunerals.com
