Michael Metro Mollick Jr. age 86, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021.
He is survived by his son, James Mollick; grandchildren, Christopher (Lorrie) Moe and April (Matthew) Kindschi; 3 great grandchildren, siblings, Joseph (Lois) Mollick, Paul (Susan) Mollick and Carole Kwiatkowski; sister in law, Cora Mollick;special niece, Sandra Wiles; many extended members of the family and his canine companion, Harry.
Preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mollick; daughters, Teresa Moe and Michelle Mollick; sisters, Julia Wright, Marian O'Neill, Genevieve Mollick and brother, William Mollick.
Mike was born on April 12, 1935 in Gary, IN to the late Michael and Virginia Mollick Sr. and was a graduate of Gary Edison High School. He retired from Youngstown Steel with many years of service. Mike proudly served our country in the US Air Force. He and Edith enjoyed traveling with their family visiting historical landmarks. Mike enjoyed dancing, singing, socializing and never met a stranger.
Mike was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN with Pastor David Locklair officiating.
Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Due to the current conditions of Covid-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home and cemetery.
