Mildred Sturtridge

MILDRED STURTRIDGE (NEE MIKUSEVICH) PORTAGE, IN Mildred Sturtridge (nee Mikusevich), age 92, of Portage, IN, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. She is survived by her three children: Haldean (special friend, Barb) Sturtridge Jr. of Valparaiso, IN, Dick (Roseann) Sturtridge of Gary, IN and Lora (Kelly) Sturtridge of Portage, IN; four grandchildren: Scott Sturtridge of Las Vegas, NV, Susan (John) Wolf of Gary, IN, Richard Sturtridge of Lowell, IN and DeAnne (Matthew) Cassell of DeMotte, IN; and four great- grandchildren. Mrs. Sturtridge was preceded in death by her husband, Haldean; and four brothers: Joseph, Michael, John and Stanley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one- half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Tim Reyna officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Sturtridge was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Hobart, was a life member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Portage. Mildred also dearly loved her canine companions.
