Ouida Fern Sheffield, age 82, of Griffith, IN, formerly of Clermont, FL. Owensboro/McHenry, KY and Black Oak, IN, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 64 years, LB Sheffield; 1 son, Lewis “Mike” (Jeanie) Sheffield of Gary, IN; and 2 daughters: Teresa Robinson of Griffith, IN and Melinda York of Owensboro, KY; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; one sister, Betty Ferguson of Crown Point, IN and 2 brothers: James Chinn of McHenry, KY and Cecil Chinn of Owensboro, KY.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN) at 3:00 p.m.
Associate Minister, Wally Klaubo of Black Oak Church of Christ officiating.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be private.
