Patricia Lynn Babair

Pat was born March 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Palovcik. She married the late John Leon Babair.

Pat is the loving mother of Shelley Mattes, Windy (Mark Harding) Blair, and Kelley Babair; proud grandmother to Ryan (fiancée, Brittany) Babair, Casey Bizik, Ashley (Kyle) Dapshis, Nicholas (fiancée, McKayla) Blair, and Joseph Mattes; great-grandmother to Christopher "Thor" and Haydyn; cherished sister to Paula (Perry) Awe; and fond aunt to many.

She was 1967 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. Pat was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Whiting where she was a Sunday School Teacher and worked in the rectory. She retired from American Trust and Savings Bank in Whiting after 25 years of service. Pat enjoyed spending time going to farmers' markets and festivals in Chesterton. Her favorite pasttime was watching the Hallmark Channel, Christmas movies, and Charlie Brown movies. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for making and sharing her garlic dip and chicken salad. She will be deeply missed by puppy Cabo Wabo, and everyone who loved her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 12:00 noon until the time of her Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46347.
