Phil Bruno

Philip S. Bruno age 88, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Bruno; children, Kim (Mark) Grantner, late Kerry (Eileen) Bruno, Karen (Norm) Nikruto, Kenny (Marylynn) Bruno, Kevin (Sandy) Bruno and Kathy Grabowski; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother, Richard Bruno.

Phil was born on July 20, 1930 in Grand Crossing to the late Frank and Frances Bruno and was a graduate of Hirsch High School. On October 26, 1952 he married the love of his life, Geraldine Gallucci and together they raised six children. Phil retired from the Chicago Police Department with over 30 years of service. He also was a painter for the Oak Forest Hospital. Phil was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St Michael the Archangel Church (1 W. Wilhelm Street Schererville, IN) with Rev. David Sajdak officiating beginning with 9:45 AM prayers at the funeral home.
