Pryde is the loving husband to Kathryn Shannon; devoted father to Melissa (Brian Wainscott) Shannon, Brandon Kimberling, Sherrill (Chad Ryba) Shannon, and the late Pryde P. Shannon, Jr.; proud grandfather to Gunner Wainscott, Wyatt Harmon, Gemma Ryba and Daniel Shannon; beloved son to the late Pryde R. and the late Alice Shannon.
Pryde was a certified welding instructor and inspector for LB Metals in Harvey, IL. Pryde enjoyed teaching welding and took advantage, going coast to coast to teach various classes, loving to explore new cities and traveling. Pryde was an avid duck hunter and especially enjoyed being with his hunting buddies and his dog, Lucy, at various hunting properties. Pryde will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
