Raul A. Morales

Raul A. Morales age 93, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa A. Morales; son, Raul (Patricia) Morales Jr.; grandchildren, Jasmine Fox, Gina (fiancé Bane Evans) Borgetti, Tony (Brittany) Borgetti, Christopher Morales, Victoria (Josh) Little and Melissa Morales; great grandchildren, Alijah and Austin Borgetti, Lila Damron and Hunter Rose Little and a host of caring neighbors. Preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Guadalupe Morales; wife, Elva T. Morales; daughter, Marilyn Morales and brothers, Al, Don, Pete and Art (late Josephine). Raul was born and raised in Indiana Harbor and was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School (E.C.). After graduation, he proudly enlisted in the Army. Raul served in Italy and Africa and various locations across the world and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He retired from LTV Steel with over 30 years of service. He truly loved the sport cars he acquired over the years especially his 1955 Buick and his 1964 Chevy. Raul was an avid sports fan and was always eager to find others that shared his love for sports. He spent many an hour in his favorite chair watching his favorite teams and drinking a cold beer. Raul was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Pastor James Williams officiating. Cremation services to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
