

He is survived by loving son, Marty (late Pat) Werth; brothers, Carlos (Virginia) Fischer and Frank Allen Fischer of Missouri; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy (nee Eaton) Fischer.
Bob was born on April 12, 1931 in St. Charles, MO to Felix and Leona Fischer. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He went on to earn his BA in Education from Ball State University and his MA in Art Education from the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology. He taught 39 years at all grade levels for the School City of Hammond including 10 years as the City Wide Art Coordinator, and was an Adjunct Professor for 39 years at IUN in Gary. Bob never found a form of creativity that didn't inspire him. He was still teaching a Bird Carving class at his passing.
Per Bob's wishes, services will be held privately at his beautiful Missouri countryside of his youth. To remember Bob, he asks that you all share some significant time with a loved one enjoying the magnificence of nature and man's inspiring creations.
