

Bob was born on December 19, 1956 in East Chicago, IN to Francisco Zamora and Senaida (Ramirez) Martinez. His parents and his stepmother Flora Zamora survive.
Also surviving are his loving wife of forty years, Elena (Aguilera) Zamora; children, Robert (Katherine) Zamora Jr., and Leah Martinez; grandchildren, Julia, Grace, Victoria Andrea, Bianca, Moses, and Noel; brothers and sisters, Roger (Elsa) Zamora, Filberto “Feedy” (Nicsa) Zamora, Katherine “Susie” (Jerry) Schroeder, Connie Zamora, Amparo (Jorge) Aguilera, Marylou Zamora, Jorge (Angelica) Zamora, Daniela (Juan) Lule; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and life- long friends.
Mr. Zamora proudly served in the United States Army at the end of the Vietnam War. After returning he worked at Inland Steel. After retiring from Glass America in Merrrillville, with years of service, he worked for Mainstreet Motors in Valparaiso.
He was a faithful member of Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary. Bob was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He was young at heart, loving to play with his grandchildren. Robert was a generous and compassionate friend to many, and always inviting people into his large circle of friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Angels Cathedral (640 Tyler St.; Gary, Indiana 46404) with Fr. John Pavlak officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375) from 2-8 pm. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
