Dearest Family,

Please accept my condolences for the loss of a beautiful and beloved person.  I have fond memories of Aunt Royanne and Uncle Bill as a fun, loving couple growing up. Aunt Royanne had a radiant smile  and warm  demeanor.  I am very sorry for your loss, and the Eck family has one more angel above watching over loved ones on this earthly realm.

Diane Kormos Glim is the daughter of Marlene Eck, sister to Bill Eck, 

Royanne was a wonderful person with a big heart and a great spirit. When I married Ron in 1992 she and Bill welcomed me into her family with open arms. My first big family event was a 75th birthday party for Genevieve. Royanne and I stayed up all night cooking and preparing special family dishes for the party the next day. I was astounded at the quantity of food and how wonderful it all was. I learned that the Ashby family loves to eat!   We looked forward to our visits to Indiana to see family. She welcomed us with a smile and a hug and made us feel at home. She loved her baby brother! When Ron was hospitalized in 2009  she got in her car and drove to Kansas City, alone and scared of getting lost, but determined to come and help take care of him for a couple weeks. While he was recuperating at home, she and I sneaked out to lunch. I talked her into a big margarita. She loved it and ever since, when we went out for lunch she always wanted a margarita.  We camped with her and Bill at their place at the lake several times, we took a vacation to West Virginia to visit cousins,  we visited her in Florida during her winter vacation there, we took a vacation to Colonial Williamsburg (her choice) and had so much fun. She was always ready for an adventure.  She raised two wonderful kids and her three grandkids were the delight of her life.   She enjoyed every minute spent with them and was so proud of all three.  She will be dearly missed but we know she is with her beloved Bill now and we will all meet again.

Elaine and family     Sorry have t kept in touch with mom for several years but so very sorry to hear she passed  away .She was always a great friend and enjoyed the mant times I got to spend with her and dad .  They both will be remembered in my many thoughts and prayers. Thinking of you and family at this time love Mary

I remember when Uncle Bill first started dating Royanne and I was chosen to be in their Wedding. It was the first time I ever wore a long dress, hose and had my hair done.  I felt very elegant 
 and grown up at the time. 
It was a new beginning for my Uncle Bill and my new Aunt Royanne.
I remember all the times I would meet her and Uncle Bill and kids at the Popcorn Festival and they would always stop by our house on their way home.  I looked forward to those visits!
 We always got together with Uncle Bill and Aunt Royanne. We'd meet at the Fishing Show,  we'd meet up for holidays, family gatherings or just to hang. 
She was a sweet and kind lady who loved us, her handsome and funny husband, her beautiful daughter and handsome son, and her 3 lovely grandchildren. She couldn't talk enough about them and she was proud of her family and proud to be a Gramma. 
I hope that when she passed into the Light, Uncle Bill was there waiting with a smile and a hug for his Lady. 
She'll be missed by everyone who ever cared about her.  
Sending my love and prayers to Elaine and her brother Bill and their families.  Your Mom will be there in your hearts and in everything you do.  God bless and comfort you in this time of sadness, and may all the good and funny memories of your Mom stay with you always and bring you smiles.
