Ruby Louise Sopher

RUBY L. ROSS-SOPHER CROWN POINT, INDIANA, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 at St. Anthony Hospital of Crown Point with her loving family at her side. Ruby was born November 18, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter to the late Ruth Ann Taylor. Also preceding her in death are her first husband, John Ross and a step grandchild, Nikolina Dimoviski. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of thirty years, Rolllin Sopher; children: John Ross, Jim Ross, and Jacqueline Froman; grandchildren: April (Mike) Smith, Bruce Markle Jr., and Ashley Froman; great grandchildren: John Quill and Stephanie Quill; step-children: Rollin (Debbie) Sopher III, Jeff Sopher; step-grandchild: Cathy (Drew) Augustyn; and step-great-grandchild, Olivia Augustyn. She and her husband attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Ruby was an avid gardener, and nature lover. She enjoyed showing her love towards her family by making a comfortable home for them. Ruby was a conservative lady in thoughts and actions. Funeral services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
