Shane P. Kreke

Shane P. Kreke, 37 of Mokena, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 after being tragically hit by a hit and run driver while on his motorcycle in Olympia Fields, Illinois, Saturday, June 11, 2011. Shane was born in Belleville, Illinois on November 19, 1973. He and his brother worked together as corporate chefs at Wolverine Trading in Chicago. Shane married the love of his life, Chrissy Wiese on May 8, 2004 in Turks and Caicos, and she survives. He attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Shane graduated 1991 from Lake Central and prior to that he attended Mater Dei High School in Breese, Illinois. He attended the University of Wisconsin where he played football. He transferred to the University of Southern Illinois and played football. He was a member of both university alumni’s. Shane is survived by his wife: Parents: Tim and Beth Kreke. A Brother: Aaron and Nicole Kreke. His two dogs at home, Bucky and Mojo. Paternal grandmother: Jeanne Kreke. Maternal grandmother: Dorothy Thole. In-laws: Ron and Myrna Wiese. Brother in-law: Ron and Regina Wiese. A very special niece: Rachael Wiese. Family will receive friends from 3-9 pm Friday at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, Indiana 46375. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 am Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church,1 W. Wilhelm, Schererville, IN 46375.
