Shawn Glenn Gilge

He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Kay Klein

He is survived by his two children Shawn and Colin Gilge; sister, Gina Gilge; brother, Jasen Gilge; step-sisters, Heather Alkhatatbeh and Donna Klein, step-father, Jeffrey Klein; father, Glenn Gilge and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shawn was vibrant and full of life. Everyone he met immediately became his friend. He had a contagious smile and always knew what to say. Shawn had a tough exterior but also the kindest soul. He always wanted to help others and would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. He enjoyed working with his hands by building things and finding solutions. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his two boys. He loved his boys very much and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave) in Crown Point, IN on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 4 pm followed by a service at 7 pm at the funeral home.
