

She is survived by three daughters, Susan (William) Bero of Crown Point; Mary Anne (James) Caudle of Dyer; Teresa (Donald Clark) Pelletier of Schererville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Porch; mother, Ruby (Raymond) Moloney; and sister, Virginia (Salvatore) Abbeduto.
Shirley was a longtime server at the former Bon Appetit restaurant in Calumet City, IL, and Crown Point, IN. She and husband Carl also were proprietors of the Country Porch store at Barn and Field Flea Market in Cedar Lake, IN, for more than 20 years.
Shirley will be remembered for her love, laughter, bubbly personality and positive outlook. She also was a seamstress, an avid reader and had an artistic flair. Shirley loved music and had a melodious voice. She often could be heard happily singing favorite tunes as she was preparing for the day.
Services were private and arranged through Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Crown Point.
Shirley will live on through the inspiration she was to her family members, loved ones and friends.
