Today I just learned of the passing of our dear friend and bowling teammate in mid September.  It pains me that I did not know of her passing back in September as I would have wanted to pay my respects to the family.  She was a one of a kind lady with a big, very big heart.  She welcomed us into her heart, her family and her home.  The world is minus a gem of a person.  My deepest condolences to the family.  Rest In Peace my dear friend!

My Auntie was not just an aunt, but also one of my closest, best friends. She supported me through so many rough times, and was there for me my entire life.
I was born on her 17th birthday and she told me EVERY year that I was her all time favorite gift. Birthdays will never be the same...  I love you Auntie....so so much and I will miss you terribly.

Tammy was a loving, strong, brave person who touched our lives. We were lucky to have her in our lives . We will miss her smiling face and her deep concern for everyone around her.  She loved her family. Rest in peace sweet Tammy. We love you always.

Mom, where do I begin to describe what you meant to me. I came into your life 10yrs ago and from that day you have welcomed me and my children into your family with open arms and lots of love. You have always treated them as your grandchildren and showed not only them but me as well the true meaning of family. You raised three beautiful girls, one I fell in love with and mom she has so much of you in her, loving , caring and don't take crap from anyone especially me. I know they will carry on with keeping the family together and passing on the core values you taught them. I remember a couple years ago when we had thanksgiving at our house and everyone was done eating so you and Jenny started cleaning up and I thought Jenny was washing dishes and like most of the time I grabbed her butt as I walked by. The only problem was it was you washing dishes and not Jenny. I was so embarrassed that I just grabbed my mother-in-laws butt, you just laughed!!! I will miss you everyday and try my hardest to be half the parent / spouse you were. Love you forever 💝

Tambo was the best! It didn’t matter how long between visits,  or how often we saw each other, the love and glow from Tammy could be felt instantly upon laying eyes on her.   She was a staple of our family and everything it has ever stood for!    I can remember staying at Tams throughout childhood with her lumpy peanut butter and jelly‘s, her awesome croquet games, her always lively pool atmosphere, throwing horseshoes, or just simply chatting.   I can hear her calling me Bubba every time I saw her!  I cannot yet imagine or grasp the true loss of someone like Tammy,  for we take for granted every day they will always be there.  The older we get we realize it’s not so much about the person we are currently, it’s the person we leave behind for all of our loved ones to remember... and Tammy left an impression of love and family none of us will ever forget.   When u can’t get through typing something like this without balling like a baby, u know that person meant truly more than u can ever imagine.   I love u Tambo and can’t wait to see u again babe.   Rest peacefully and know u will be missed more than any words can ever explain!   Love u  XOXO

Bubba

Nancy and I are so very sad at the loss of Tammy.   As part of the Missouri street neighborhood...we all grew up together and shared many childhood memories into high school.  Personally, I will cherish those good times in a more innocent era.  Ed and Tammy were always good to Nancy and I when we first met, through our marriage, and when we decided to join the military.  Although time and space have come between us, we will never forget her.  I pray for God to comfort your family during this time and may you always hold the good times near and pass them on to generations to come.  

What a great bowler Tammy (and Ed) were.   And such fun we would have in the bar after bowling.  "Mustang Sally" was a favorite to get us ladies dancing.  My sincere condolences to the family.  May she rest in peace.

My little sister Tammy and I would use our robe tie on Christmas Eve to tie one of each of our ankles together, when we went to sleep. 
That way, we would get to see when Santa came in the morning. We didn’t want one to be able and get up and look, before the other!!😉

I love you so very much Tambo. My days will never be the same without you. I hope to be half the person you are. If I am, I know we will be together to hug each other again.  (Kick Jack and Chuck’s butts for us! Give them the tightest hug in the world first!)

Tamara S. Gidcumb ‘Tammy’ (nee Morse), Dyer, IN, age 58, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. 
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward M. Gidcumb; daughters, Jennifer (Geno) Minotti, Jillian Aguilar and Jayde (Derek) Underland; mother, Evelyn Kay (nee Gasaway) Morse; sisters, Peggy (Steve) Easton, Patty Morse , and Barbie (Donald) Baker; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ariel, Anthony, Gianna and Olivia; many nieces and nephews that she adored and beloved canine companion, Spud.  
Preceded in death by her father, Frank Morse; brother, Chuck Morse; father and mother in law, Larry and Betty Gidcumb and nephew, Jack Daniels.
