Theresa 'Terri' Brown age 80, of Crown Point, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

Theresa was born on August 17, 1939 in Baudette, Minnesota, the daughter of the late George and Mary (nee Dolinski) Gawreluk. She was the 12th of 13 children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert L. Brown, her parents, her sisters Dora, Annette and Betsy, and brothers William and Harry. Surviving siblings include Katy of New Hope, MN, Helen of Boulder, CO, Nick of North Branch, MN, Lena of Edina, MN, Pete of Minneapolis, MN, Thomas of Georgetown, CA, and Romon of Coon Rapids, MN.

Theresa is survived by her devoted children: daughter, Vanessa (William) Martin of Evergreen Park, IL, Victoria (Timothy) Tidmarsh of Mesa, AZ, Robert Brown of Chicago, IL, and Rick (Marcia) Brown of Bellevue, NE. She was ‘Nana’ to grandchildren, Thomas, Mark, Joseph, Hunter, Sophia and Isabella.

Theresa had many Godchildren, nieces and nephews for whom she dearly loved.

Theresa was a strong woman of faith, courage, and love. Her family was most important to her and she was deeply proud of her heritage, her siblings, her children and grandchildren. Theresa was most happy when spending time with family and friends, attending family reunions in northern Minnesota, raising her beloved dogs Dexter and Penny, spending time around animals, nature and water, or simply working around the yard. She loved music, reading, health and nutrition, nature walks, and cooking for her family. In her mid-life, Theresa began a new career as a medical secretary and retired from the Methodist Hospitals after 17 years of service.

Due to Covid-19 conditions, services are being held privately by the family.

Terri will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
