Verland Delmar Stout

VERLAND DELMAR STOUT GRIFFITH, IN Verland Delmar Stout, age 79, of Griffith, IN passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. He is survived by his four children: Patrick (Diane) Stout, Kari (Robert) Holmes, Dale (Cherylann) Stout, and Del (Jill) Stout; eight grandchildren: Brooke (Shawn) Grube, Brandi Stout, Robert (Debbie) Fathke, Ashley Stout, Cori (Clayt) Wolfe, Melissa Turner, Tiffani Stout, and Trevor Stout; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers: Robert, George, and Jim; three sisters: Shirley, Leila, and Rhonda; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Stout was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Stout; parents: Verland and Henrietta Stout; and two brothers: Frank and Harry Stout. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Gary F.O.P. Chaplain, Joe Hamer, officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Stout retired from the Lake County Government Center with 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and yard work. Memorial contributions may be made in Verland's loving memory to the American Cancer Society .
