William David Richards

WILLIAM D. RICHARDS William D. Richards, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2014 at St. James Manor in Crete, IL with his loving children at his side. William was born September 1, 1932 in Brewster, OH to the late William and Harriet (Meyers) Richards. In 1959, he married Dianne (Wroski) Richards; she preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are two grandsons: David and Donovan Prejmak; and his brothers and sisters. Surviving are his children: Dale (Linda) Richards, Pam (John) Prejmak, Terri (Charles) Gluckleder, William (Cathy) Richards, Joe (Tracie) Richards, and Robert Richards; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sister, Marge Griener. Also surviving is his cat, "Bob". Mr. Richards retired as Chief X-ray Technician at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital (St. Margaret Mercy) of Dyer. After retirement, he became a realtor for ReMax 2000 in Crete, IL. He was a gentleman of constant education and learning; obtaining many degrees and attending many classes to enhance his career or to teach himself various skills. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375) with Pastor Randy Dodd officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
