William R. Schultz

He is survived by his sons, Joseph (Leanne) Schultz, Jason (Megan) Schultz and John (Kearya) Schultz; daughter, Julie (Bill) Goethals-Box; grandchildren, Jolie, Austin, Jax and Levi Schultz, Evelyn and Lillian Schultz, Arianna and Wyatt Schultz, Brionna Goethals, Tristin and Trinity Box; brother, Robert (Jackie) Schultz; sisters, Cathy (Barry) Gibson and Pam (late Rick) Carlson; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lorain and Hazel Schultz.

Bill was born in Gary, IN and was a 1968 graduate of Crown Point High School. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force during Vietnam. Bill was a police officer for the Town of Schererville until 1988 when he was injured while on patrol. He went on to retire in 1996 with 20 years of service. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather and will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of funeral ceremony at the funeral home.
