Arlene Carol Lister

Arlene Carol (Fenske) Lister, 82, of Plano, Texas passed away on August 31, 2024. Arlene was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 30, 1941 to Gustav and Dorothy Fenske. She graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1959.

Arlene married Robert (“Bob”) Lister on October 13, 1962. Arlene was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Plano for 48 years, where she enjoyed playing in the bell choir, was active with the women’s group, and made countless friends who became family.

Arlene had a passion for travel, with Alaska being her favorite place, and playing bridge. She also loved the Texas Rangers. She watched nearly every game for decades and could not have been happier to finally see them win the World Series last year.

Arlene is survived by her children: Scott Lister (married to Margaret), Douglas Lister (married to Lisa), and Holly Draper (married to Robert); grandchildren: Andrew Lister, Logan Lister (married to Melanie), Gina Lister, Abigail Draper, and Jacob Draper; and great grandchildren: Paisley Lister and Tate Lister.

Visitation will be held at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home on September 10, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church on September 11, 2024 at 10:30 am, with a reception to follow. Arlene will be buried by her beloved Bob at DFW National Cemetery on September 11, 2024 at 2:30 pm.
