Austin Thomas Schwitter

The youngest of five children, Austin has joined his parents Cay and Andre Schwitter Jr., his sister Mary Amanda (Mandy) Heffernan, and is survived by his brother Andre Schwitter III (Jackie), sisters Candy Wilson (Benjamin) and Betsy Offutt (Bill), nine nieces and nephews: Shaleen, Mary Catherine, Bernadette, Andre IV, Michael, Amanda, Nichole, Matthew, Jonathan, and 18 great nieces and nephews.

Austin graduated from Southern Lehigh High School in Coopersburg, PA, and Salem College in Salem, West Virginia where he studied business administration. With his remarkable stories and contagious laugh, Austin loved working with people in the customer and financial services industries.

A master bridge player who kept everyone around him on their toes with a smile, Austin found love with fellow player Lynda Dittmar, and was grateful to spend many years together in St. Augustine, FL playing bridge, making warm memories, and cruising the open oceans.

A devout Catholic and member of St. Paul’s Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL, Austin was an avid fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and a champion Trump supporter, we were grateful for his vote in 2024.

Austin’s life will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano, TX on October 21st. The family requests any donations to be made to a charity of your choosing.
