Mrs. Catherine P. Childs was born on October 18, 1942 and passed away on December 6, 2010. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and later resided in Texas. Education was a large part of her life. Between earning her Bachelors degree and being a teacher in the Dallas school district, it would be hard to find a time when she wasn't involved in some form of the education system. Mrs. Child's leaves behind a loving husband, Harold Childs, and sons Kevin and Konata and many more loving family members that will miss her deeply.
The family will be accepting friends and family on Friday night from 6-8 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. The service will be on Saturday at 11 o'clock at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's Catholic Church with a gravside service taking place the following Monday at 10 o'clock at the D/FW National Cemetery.
Mrs. Catherine P. Childs is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and an Omega Omega Service will be held for her on Friday, December 10th at 6:30pm at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Rd., Dallas.
