Cathy Marie Worley

Cathy was born on May 11, 1948 to Eugene and Nellie Sowers in Spokane, WA. She grew up in Washington and later lived in California while attending La Sierra University. She lived in many states during her lifetime including Washington, California, Montana, Alaska, Michigan, Indiana and Texas. She dedicated her life to the nursing profession and worked the past 22 years at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.

Cathy’s passion in life were all things Disney and the voice of Tim McGraw. Her countless trips over the years to Disney World with her children and grandchildren are well documented (her favorite park was Animal Kingdom). She also never missed a Tim McGraw concert and made sure she went to every concert tour that came through Texas (and included her children and later grandchildren on those tours!).

Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Nellie. She is survived by her children, Kristine, Eric (Jennifer), Jennifer (Tom) and Stephanie (Ryan), as well as grandchildren, Sierra, Kierra, Jackson, Colin, Abigail, Liam, Elliot, Sam, Caiden and McKenna and five great-grandchildren.

The family requests that donations be made to SPCA of Texas in lieu of flowers. There was a private family celebration of life held on December 1st.

Cathy will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
