

Dave was born on November 30, 1953 to Thomas and Mary Nicholson.
He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and was a walk-on turned captain of the Ohio University Bobcats baseball team.
He graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. He went on to a long and successful career in the concrete industry, culminating in his position as Vice President of Sales at Euclid Chemical Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was an avid golfer, once hitting a hole in one at a work golf tournament. He loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, coached youth baseball and soccer, and always made time to cheer his children on at their sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathleen, his daughter Lynn Sullivan and husband Jerome, his son Kurt Nicholson and wife Deanna and granddaughter Morgan, his son Matt Nicholson and grandson Ryan, and his brother Larry Nicholson and sister in law Paige.
Dave will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend that was loving, hardworking, honest, virtuous, full of integrity, and a loyal protector and provider. He made a meaningful and positive impact on all he came in contact with. He led by example and will be remembered as a truly exceptional man.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home (located at 7990 George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75252).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.
